We collect as little as we can. This page says what that is, why we hold it, and how to have it removed. Last updated 18 September 2026.

Who is responsible

Combat Sports UK is published by Rise Media, Ireland, which is the data controller for this site. Questions about this policy go through the contact form.

What we collect and why

Reading the site. You can read everything here without an account and without giving us anything. Our hosting provider, Vercel, keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and to keep the site running. We use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views and visitors without cookies and without building a profile of you.

Newsletter. If you sign up for the briefing we store your email address and the date you subscribed, and we send a confirmation email before adding you to the list. We use it only to send the briefing. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing deletes your address from the list.

Contact form. If you write to us we store your name, email address and message so we can reply and keep a record of corrections requests. We keep correspondence for up to two years.

Embedded content

Some articles embed posts from X (Twitter) and our Facebook page. When one of those loads, the platform may set its own cookies and collect data under its own policy, as it would if you visited that platform directly. We do not receive that data.

Advertising

We do not currently run advertising. If that changes, this policy will be updated before any advertising partner is added, and you will be asked for consent where the law requires it.

Where your data is held

Subscriber and contact data is stored with Supabase in the European Union. Email is sent through a transactional email provider on our behalf. We do not sell or share personal data with anyone else.

Your rights

Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to our using it. Use the contact form and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland or the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK.
