Agit Kabayel has picked Daniel Dubois to win his rematch with Fabio Wardley, while giving the challenger a chance of avenging his defeat, Boxing News reported.

Speaking to Playbook Boxing, the WBC heavyweight champion agreed with Oleksandr Usyk’s assessment that Wardley’s jab had been the decisive shortcoming in their first fight. Kabayel said: “He forgot his jab, he came only with the right-hand.”

He added: “When Fabio makes this better in the second fight, he can beat him.”

Dubois recovered from two knockdowns to stop Wardley in the 11th round in May, taking his WBO belt and becoming a two-time world champion. Wardley then activated his rematch clause.

Their second meeting will headline the O2 Arena in London on Saturday, 17 October, with Dubois defending the WBO heavyweight title.
