UFC White House regulator rejects Ilia Topuria’s claim about Justin Gaethje’s gloves

Andy Foster said Justin Gaethje’s gloves and wraps met regulations at UFC Freedom 250, rejecting Ilia Topuria’s suggestion of wrongdoing. The event regulator said multiple inspectors had checked them.

Justin Gaethje’s gloves and wraps complied with regulations at UFC Freedom 250, event regulator Andy Foster said in response to Ilia Topuria’s allegation, MMA Junkie reported.

Foster, the California State Athletic Commission’s executive director and one of three regulators at the UFC’s White House event, said multiple inspectors had checked Gaethje’s equipment.

Topuria raised the allegation on Wednesday, writing on X: “Next time I’ll make sure they check Justin's gloves so he doesn't put anything weird on them.”

Gaethje won their lightweight title fight after Topuria’s corner stopped the contest before the fifth and final round. Topuria had suffered severe bruising around his eyes and was bloodied as he sat on his stool.

Gaethje dismissed the suggestion in an interview posted by Championship Rounds. “Oh, people don't believe that,” he said.
